Digby Neck - Nova Scotia's premier ecotourism destination

Country Cove Cottage is located on "Digby Neck" - a long peninsular on Nova Scotia's south west coast between the Bay of Fundy and St Mary's Bay. The Bay of Fundy is famous for having the highest tides in the world, providing a wonderful variety of inter tidal habitat. The bay is home to a wide range of species including minke, finback, humpback and right whales, dolphins, porpoises and seals.

The cottage is surrounded by 40 acres of private open pasture and woodland, which is home to deer, beaver and porcupine. It is just 15 minutes from whale watching venues.

The local fishing village offers the essentials of petrol and a grocery store, while 20 minutes drive away lies the regional center of Digby - the "scallop capital of the world" - with its restaurants, shopping and banking facilities.

For guests arriving at Halifax international airport, it is about a 2 hour drive to the cottage.

Alternatively, there are ferries from Portland and Bar Harbor, Maine and from Saint John, New Brunswick - all of which land within a short drive to the cottage.
